Q. How long will it take to build my website?
A. For most projects, the entire development process, from reciept of down payment to signing off on the final project, is about four to five weeks. If your site is especially large or requires more complex programming, it may take longer to develop. Additionally, if you need your site to be completed more rapidly, arrangements to do so can be made. In all cases, we'll let you know how long the expected development time will be when you request a quote.
Q. What will my total investment be?
A. We do not have set-in-stone predetermined prices. Our per page pricing structure gives you a general idea of the cost of a site, but it can be more or less, based on your specific requirements. I use a customised approach for each project, making it hard to say exactly how much your site will cost to develop in such a broad context. The best way to find out is to request a quote by filling out and submitting the quote request form.
Q. Are there any "hidden" fees?
A. Not at all. Once I give you a quote, that price plus any fees incurred, according to pricing listed in contract and appendixes, will be your only costs throughout the process unless the scope of the project is changed significantly.
However, please note that this does not mean that I will make changes to the project during development for free. Appropriate fees will be charged where applicable, but not without prior consultation. If an addition or change is required during the development process, it will be agreed upon between both parties before the change is implemented.
Q. What is the payment procedure?
A. We require a 50% deposit before I begin development. The remaining 50% is due upon completion and approval of the design work. However, if the site is particularly large or will take a relatively long period of time to develop, I can break the payments into smaller parts for your convenience.
Q. Will I get to see what my website looks like before it's finished?
A. Absolutely! Once we've created a basic design for your site we will either post it to your hosting account (if you have one) or post it to a private directory on my site, accessible only by you. You'll be able to see what the design looks like, and make any comments or suggestions to get it looking exactly like you want. If you decide you want me host your site, I will actually develop the site on your account. This will enable you to view the latest additions and changes to your web design project in 'real time'. You'll have access during every step of the development process.
Q. What if I don't like the design?
A. If you aren't pleased with the design we'll get some feedback from you about what aspects of the design you're not happy with. We will fix those aspects, or, if necessary, create an entirely new design for your site. I will work with you to make sure you are satisfied with every step of the design process. If, at this point, you're still not happy with the work I have done, I will refund your money minus any fees already incurred for time spent on your project. Those fees will be deducted from your deposit and the remainder will be refunded.
Q. Will I own the finished project?
A. Quite simply, yes. You will own all rights to the design, graphics, code, and any other work we do for you. I even send you all the files used in developing your website so you can make the changes you need in the future! All I ask is the right to post a screenshot and description of your site in our digital portfolio. If you agree to a small text link stating "Site designed by GT Designs" (the link is not mandatory) at the bottom of your page along with the copyright notice, It would be very appreciated
Q. Where does the web site reside when we are done with the development?
A. Your web site needs to be hosted with a quality hosting provider in order for it to be accessible to the world. I can arrange an account for you on our web server at HostEasy247.com. Your web site files will be stored so that your site can be accessible 24 hours a day by you and your clients with a 99.9% up-time guarantee.
